Facts and myths about people with red hair in a row

Only 1 percent of the world's population has red hair. Scotland is the country with the most redheads in the world (about 13 percent of Scots have red hair). There are many stories round about people with red hair. Some of these stories is debatable whether they are true, as is sometimes said that women with red hair better kisses and sensual. Below are some facts and myths about red haired people in a row.

Redheads are descended from Neanderthals
Fact. Scientists at Oxford University think that the gene for red hair is a tradition of the Neanderthals. It is suspected that the gene responsible for red hair, fair skin and freckles about 100,000 years old. This gene is the 'gene was' called.
